This kitchen takes you on a trip to Mexico. The blue tile is original to the house, and that was our starting place. The walls and ceiling have been textured and color washed. Mexican graphics have been sculptured onto the walls and ceiling using various techniques. We also included artwork from the original tiles and sculptured more tiles onto walls and ceiling. This gave the room a more custom look. All graphics were hand tinted with blues, yellows, and reds. We added a primitive shelf above the cabinets with the same wall finish. The entire room was glazed to add an aged patina.
